Back from France

July 7, 2009

It seems only an angler can go on holiday and curse the glorious weather. Sat in glorious sunshine, with temperatures in the shade almost reaching 40 degrees centigrade. But such weather is hardly conducive to good fishing. Yes, the tan is all there, but the fish just were not happy as water temperature hit 29. Still I managed to sneak a few out and drink copious amounts of cold lager so it wasn’t just sunbathing. I have Danny this weekend and he wants to try sea fishing for the first time, so we’re off down to Brighton for the weekend and should we get chance we’ll have a go off the shore for the mackeral and maybe the garfish. Would be nice if we manage to fluke out a sea bass though. Hmmm, sea bass with ginger. Yummy.
